See Memphis like you’ve never seen it before
Kayak Memphis offers guided tours and kayak rentals along the Memphis Riverfront. See amazing views of the Memphis skyline from your kayak.
Guided Harbor Tours
Our guided kayaking tours of the Memphis Harbor take participants along the entire Memphis Riverfront by water. This immersive experience provides incredible views of the Downtown Memphis Skyline and Mississippi River from the safety of a large, stillwater harbor adjacent to the Big River. Most tours last around two hours and are scheduled periodically throughout our season. For those new to kayaking, a tutorial will be provided before embarking on this adventure. Minors 12 and over are welcome to join if accompanied by an adult with previous kayaking experience. If you’re unsure about experience level, age limit and pricing for minors, kayak weight limit, or if you have general questions regarding our tours, please give us a call before booking a spot. If possible, please download, print and sign our waiver using the link below for a more seamless start of the tour.
*Kayak rentals start at $30 – you must have previous kayaking experience and a party of 4 or more people to book kayak rentals. If you don’t, we’ll have plenty of opportunities to rent kayaks through Eventbrite and multiple event series hosted by Memphis River Parks throughout our season. Please call to reserve kayak rentals for your group.
*A paddle and a U.S. Coast Guard approved personal floatation device(PFD) are included with all tours and kayak rentals.

If you grew up in or around Memphis, you’ve probably been told boating on the Mississippi River is too dangerous. We encourage you to experience a unique adventure on the Mississippi River and Memphis Harbor safely, as we have with our families for decades. Mark Babb, Kayak Memphis owner and firefighter/paramedic, worked as a licensed riverboat pilot from 1985 to 1995, is CPR certifited and has successfully completed swiftwater rescue training. His family and our guides have led many trips on the Mississippi River and sections of the Wolf River since 2005.
Kayak Memphis has been renting boats and guiding trips on the Mississippi River since 2005. We began this venture by accommodating friends & family on guided river tours. These trips have ranged from Galena, Illinois all the way to Vicksburg, Mississippi. In addition, we opened Ghost River Rentals that same year. Since then, we have had people from all over the world and walks of life join the Kayak Memphis family and use our services to get out in the water.
